Saitech Inc. is proud to announce our ongoing collaboration with the Sonoma County Public Safety Consortium, California delivering reliable and high-performance Getac rugged laptops and accessories. This multi-year agreement, valued at $1.8 million, was initiated in May 2024, providing SCPSC with ruggedized, secure, and efficient solutions for their demanding public safety operations. This project is estimated to save SCPSC over $200K, reflecting more than 15% in valued savings.
The Getac rugged devices and accompanying hardware supplied by Saitech Inc. are designed to withstand the toughest environments, ensuring that SCPSC can rely on top-tier technology to carry out their critical operations.
Rugged Solutions for Critical Environments
At the heart of this project is the Getac S410G5 Rugged Laptop (Part: S410G5 – ST2R7CQASSXX). This high-performance laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i5-1340P processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 512GB PCIe SSD, offering a fast, efficient, and durable solution for field operations. The device also features a Sunlight Readable Full HD LCD + Touchscreen for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and 5G Sub-6 connectivity. The addition of dedicated GPS/GLONASS capabilities allows SCPSC field officers to maintain precise tracking and navigation. Its Thunderbolt 4 connectivity ensures rapid data transfer, and the backlit membrane keyboard enhances usability in low-light conditions.
Comprehensive Protection and Durability
For extended peace of mind, Saitech Inc. has included the Getac Bumper-to-Bumper Extended Warranty (GE-SVSRNFX5Y), providing 5 years of coverage that includes accidental damage protection. This extended warranty ensures that SCPSC’s investment remains protected, even in the most challenging conditions.
To ensure seamless integration into SCPSC’s vehicle-based operations, Saitech has provided the Gamber Johnson Vehicle Dock (GDVPGH), which offers Tri Pass-through replication for easy connection of peripherals and antennas while ensuring the laptop remains securely docked. This is complemented by the Lind 120W DC/DC Adapter (590GBL000515), allowing for convenient power supply while in vehicles.
Optimizing Navigation and Efficiency
In addition to the rugged hardware, Saitech Inc. has also provided the Getac VGPS Utility (565391810001), a hardware-locked perpetual license software that enhances GPS accuracy for SCPSC’s operations. This utility ensures SCPSC officers have access to reliable navigation, even in remote locations.
