Saitech Inc. renewed certification with California Public Utilities Commission and Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council for 2018. The CPUC regulates privately owned electric, natural gas, telecommunications, water, railroad, rail transit, and passenger transportation companies, in addition to authorizing video franchises. CPUC protects consumers, safeguards the environment, and assures Californians’ access to safe and reliable utility infrastructure and services. WRMSDC was founded on September 9, 1977, almost 10 years after the Civil Rights Movement that sparked national awareness about racial discrimination and segregation in the United States. Galvanized by the unequal treatment of minority-owned businesses, the Council began serving as advocates for impacted minority communities in Northern California, Nevada, and Hawai‘i.
