Mixed Reality is seen in areas where the virtual and real worlds combine. Real world objects and virtual world objects co-exist and interact with each other in real time.
Mixed Reality
Mixed Reality allows users to produce new environments and visualizations where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time. This has applications in a wide range of areas such as communication, entertainment and logistics. This new reality allows people to interact with the physical and digital world at the same time. Real Environment, Augmented Reality, Augmented Virtually, Virtual Environment are all a part of this. Mixed Reality is standalone or used to refer to the full spectrum from actual reality. It allows for both reality and the virtual world to work together in the same space.
Real Environment
This is also known as the natural environment. It is made of both living and nonliving things. The virtual worlds have environments based of the natural environment with all the objects of daily life to allow people to get a better understanding of the virtual worlds.
Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality combines parts of the virtual world into the real world and is part of the physical environment. The users remain the same place while experiencing the virtual world. This allows for users to have the complete experience without leaving the environment they are in. They have several real world uses such as surgery, engineering and in the military.
Augmented Virtuality
Augmented Virtuality describes the environment in which real objects are inserted into computer-generated virtual environments. Real world objects are covered over with virtual reality objects. This has been used by car companies to help users perform basic maintenance tasks.
